A seminar for Ngo in Sofia

24-26th of March 2011 the conference "From trade to development" was held in Sofia (Bulgaria) organized by the "Creating Coherence on Trade and Development"-consortium.

The aim of the conference was to build civil society strategies to strengthen coherence in trade and development policies. With international representatives of South and East Europe organization, participants discussed about the impacts of EU trade policies in East Europe and southern countries.

In recent years the European Union has approved new policies on trade and development, which lie at the centre of its relationship with developing countries.

How will they work together and do they lead to a coherent approach to development?

A seminar session was dedicated to a focus on Central and Eastern Europe and an entire afternoon of the second day the seminar was addressed to journalists and media experts, in order to increase media coverage of that issue in Bulgaria as well as in Europe and to establish a network with the interested media actors.
